Mason Robert | 6 Months Old

 

Dear Son,

How is it that you are 6 months old already? I’m going to go all cliche’ spouting, sappy mommy on you and just say that it feels like yesterday that we brought you home from the hospital. You’ve changed SO much in 6 months and your little personality is busting out full force.

And we love it.

You are all wide eyes and curiosity, always scoping out your surroundings to see what you can study/grab/put in your mouth/explore.

 

You smiled very early on and still smile more than any baby I’ve ever met. And I’ve met a lot of babies.

Your hair… your hair is deliciously fluffy and stands straight up unless it’s sopping wet. Apparently my hair did the same thing as a baby, but trust me it looks waaaaay cuter on you.

 

You are so expressive. Always making faces at anyone who glances your way and then promptly smiling afterward as if you’ve just made a joke and “wasn’t that so funny?”.

I love how you love the outdoors. Anytime we step outside you turn your face to the breeze and sniff the air like a little hound looking for his next adventure. Daddy and I already know we’ll have our hands full with you, our busy little boy. But that’s okay. We’ll buckle our seat belts and hang on for the ride.
