New Kid In Town

I’ve mentioned a few times over on our Facebook Page that we have a fun new photo prop.  Have you been wondering when it would ever show it’s face?  Well, wait no longer.

A few weeks ago I got a text from a friend asking if I wanted a piece of furniture that she was getting rid of.  I asked if she could send me a photo.  She sent the photo and as soon as I got it I replied as fast as I possibly could with a resounding “YES!!!”

Please welcome… The High Chair of Utmost Coolness.

I love it.  If I could fit into it myself I’d use it every day.  Just kidding.

I think.

Immediately when I saw this chair I new that I wanted to paint it.  The black is lovely and sleek but I thought a fun new color would really give it, and any photos in which it appears, a shnazzy pop of color.  So, after I carted the chair home and patted it lovingly for awhile, I made a quick trip to Lowe’s for some spray paint.  And by quick I mean that it only took me 10 minutes to pick out a color rather than the 32.5 minutes that I expected this decision to take.  That’s a 22.5 minute difference that I know my husband was very thankful for after standing patiently by and listening to me blather on about how “yellow would be fabulous, but look at this lime green color… darn they don’t have enough cans of that… hmm, maybe red?”  He’s a patient man, my Michael.

Anyway, I finally settled on a color and I heart it something fierce.  It’s called “Mediterranean”.

I. love. it.  And I got to use it for a photo session last week, so check back tomorrow to see this guy in action!
